Steve joined Zip in 2019 with responsibility for all aspects of the company’s marketing strategy and, since then, has led major campaigns, global rebranding and integration projects and been a key figure in Zip’s journey from a local Australian company to a global BNPL player operating in over thirteen regions. Before Zip, Steve spent three years at Uber as its APAC Director of Marketing and, before that, oversaw marketing, brand and PR at eBay. While at Uber, Steve launched the world’s first rideshare submarine Scuber and launched the award-winning ‘Tonight I’ll Be Eating’ UberEats campaign. He is the current Chair of the Association for Data-Driven Marketing & Advertising, where he is responsible for the strategic direction of the association and its work representing 600+ brands. Steve has over 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing and business development and was recognised as the Number 1 CMO in Australia in 2019 and has been recognised as a Top 50 CMO three times. Steve has a Bachelor of European Studies & Languages from The Manchester Metropolitan University. He is currently Global CMO, Zip, Chair of ADMA (Data-driven Marketing & Advertising), and is also Chair of AADL (Australian Alliance for Data Leadership)... this is his 4th role as a CMO and was previously CMO for Uber/Uber Eats, ebay, Paypal.
