About the Conference
The Research Society’s National Conference has proven year after year that it is the not to be missed event for the Australian research; insights, CX, UX & data analytics industry.
In our 65th year we are celebrating how dynamic and influential the research industry has become (market, social, CX, UX, EX and data analytics) and how it is delivering compelling human insights to drive innovation and competitive advantage for Corporations, Government, NFP’s and Universities.
We cast our net for speakers far and wide and received an enormous number of outstanding submissions and requests to present from industry leading speakers as well as practitioners – many of whom have never presented at the industry conference before but were drawn to participate in this unique event.
We have selected 55 inspiring speakers who will bring to life for you new insights on humans and challenge the way in which you use insights in your organisation and conduct research.
Join us to celebrate, learn and share with the broader research community that is by profession, full of insightful humans providing human insights.
Humans are fascinating, weird, disturbing, inspiring, resilient, adaptable, compassionate, greedy, ambitious, adventurous, fearful, funny. In a career of 25+ years as a researcher I have literally interviewed thousands and surveyed millions of people, but I am still learning about humans.
The Human Insights Conference is a unique opportunity to bring together a broad range of researchers to share their insights into humans and how they explore the human condition.
Humans Insights are the most powerful evidence based insights we can provide to Corporations, Government and NFP’s to not only drive growth but to advance society and improve outcomes for people at all levels.
I look forward to welcoming you to the truly inspiring Human Insights Conference!

As time goes on, we are all learning about the incredibly complex ways that people make decisions and try to do the things they aspire to. What to buy? Whether to switch? How to stick to that diet or that budget?
What has not changed is that as researchers we face into these business problems every day. Keeping up with the latest thinking and discussions on how humans operate is very important for our skills as researchers. Having the discussion as an industry is critical for a progressive Research & Insights sector in Australia.
I am proud of the diversity in perspectives and quality of the researchers and guests at this year’s conference. Please join us at the Human Insights Conference!
